The SPF side rails span the full length of both full and queen mattress sizes via a telescoping inner rail secured by the same pin-lock mechanism, making this a single frame that adapts to two mattress widths over its lifetime. All contact surfaces between moving parts are lined with self-lubricating HDPE pads to prevent wood-on-wood squeaking.
